Le coup d'envoi de la Coupe du Monde a été donné ce matin avec Nouvelle-Zélande - Norvège. Dans les prochaines semaines, plusieurs joueuses de l’effectif floriacumois disputeront ce Mondial avec leurs sélections nationales respectives.
Léa Le Garrec et les Bleues de Hervé Renard ont posé leurs valises en Australie, tout comme Chantelle Swaby avec la Jamaïque, Batcheba Louis avec Haïti, Sarah Kassi et Kenza Chapelle avec le Maroc et la nouvelle recrue floriacumoise, Aldrith Quintero, avec le Panama. Depuis la fin juin, elles ont toutes participé à plusieurs matchs de préparation en vue d’arriver au Mondial à leur meilleur niveau.
Léa Le Garrec
Alors qu’elle n’a pas joué lors du match contre l’Irlande (victoire 3-0), Léa Le Garrec est entrée en jeu face à l’Australie pour les 15 dernières minutes de match (défaite 1-0). Elle a ainsi pu se mesurer à des adversaires de poids pour se mettre en situation avant le début de la compétition.

Chantelle Swaby
Avec les Reggae Girlz jamaïcaines, Chantelle Swaby a disputé trois matchs de préparation. Bien que les deux premiers, contre le Porto Rico (nul 1-1) et le Mexique (défaite 7-3) soient compliqués, la victoire leur a souri contre le Maroc après l’arrivée en Australie (victoire 1-0). Pendant ce duel, Chantelle a eu l’occasion d’affronter une de ses coéquipières floriacumoises, Sarah Kassi, sélectionnée avec le Maroc.

Batcheba Louis
Membre de l’effectif haïtien, Batcheba Louis a quant à elle commencé par affronter Malte (victoire 5-0). Elle a été l’auteure de l’un des cinq buts marqués pendant la rencontre. Une semaine plus tard, les Grenadières se sont inclinées 2-1 face à la Corée du Sud.

Sarah Kassi et Kenza Chapelle
Faisant ses débuts en sélection du Maroc, Sarah Kassi et Kenza Chapelle ont pu disputer plusieurs matchs de préparation pour se mettre dans l’ambiance du Mondial. Fortes de leurs multiples sélections en équipe de France jeune, elles sont prêtes à faire face à ses adversaires de Coupe du Monde. Au cours du rassemblement de ces dernières semaines, le Maroc a affronté l’Italie (0-0), la Suisse (0-0) et la Jamaïque (défaite 1-0).

Aldrith Quintero
Fraîchement recrutée au FC Fleury, Aldrith Quintero participe à la Coupe du Monde avant de fouler les terrains de d1 Arkema. Déjà habituée à la sélection malgré son jeune âge (21 ans), elle disputera son premier Mondial. La milieu de terrain a pris part aux matchs de préparation, dont deux se sont déroulés dès le mois de juin. N’ayant pas pris part au match nul (1-1) contre la Colombie, Aldrith s’est défaite de Gibraltar (victoire 7-0), puis le Panama a affronté l’Espagne (défaite 7-0) et s’est mesuré au Japon (défaite 5-0).
